Development of a prognostic model for major cardiovascular events in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia
Abstract
Patients with Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) remain at very high cardiovascular risk even after successful lower-limb revascularization. However, tools for individualized prediction of adverse cardiovascular outcomes in this population are limited. The aim of this study is to develop a prognostic model for major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with CLTI after revascularization. The study is based on a single-center cohort of patients who underwent endovascular treatment for CLTI, with additional patients being included to expand the dataset. The primary endpoint is 3-year MACE, defined as cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, and coronary stenting. Candidate predictors include demographic, clinical, laboratory, and imaging variables reflecting systemic atherosclerotic burden and comorbidity. The proposed model may improve risk stratification, support follow-up planning, and help identify CLTI patients who require more intensive cardiovascular prevention after revascularization.
